Requirements

Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
Possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Inspection Mechanic certificate.
Meet the PA residency requirement.
Be able to perform essential job functions.
Conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
Conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.

Responsibilities

Conduct inspections on all vehicles to ensure compliance with state safety and inspection standards
Perform lubrication, oil changes, filter replacements, and safety checks across hospital vehicles and equipment
Complete tune-ups, replace ignition components, and set engines to factory specifications using available tools
Repair or replace major drive train components including clutches, drive shafts, bearings, and differentials
Repair or replace starters, alternators, pumps, motors, exhaust components, and related systems
Use acetylene torch and arc welder for cutting, fabrication, or repairs as needed
