Automotive Mechanic - Susquehannock Forest District
About The Position
Become an Automotive Mechanic with the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and make a meaningful impact on daily forest operations. Requirements
- Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver's License.
- Possession of a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Class 1 Inspection Mechanic certificate.
- Meet the PA residency requirement.
Responsibilities
- Repair gasoline powered cars, trucks, SUVs, ATVs, snowmobiles, forklifts, and trailers
- Travel throughout the district to investigate breakdowns and perform field repairs
- Assist the Diesel Mechanic with repairs and perform routine service tasks
- Maintain repair records, complete required reports, and keep the shop organized
- Perform state inspections and emissions testing on vehicles and equipment
