Requirements

  • Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or Completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.
  • Possession of a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver’s license.
  • Possession of a valid Class 1 Inspection Mechanic certificate or equivalent that allows inspection for Class 1 vehicles.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You will be responsible for providing your own mechanics toolbox and basic tool set.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine servicing of vehicles and equipment to keep systems operating smoothly
  • Repair engines, cooling systems, suspension components, electrical systems, and driveline parts
  • Complete official inspections, apply required documentation, and ensure compliance with state standards
  • Provide emergency road service and make necessary adjustments or repairs in field environments
  • Maintain equipment records, prepare reports, and assist with identifying needed parts and supplies
  • Demonstrate repair methods and assist other mechanics with major repairs
