About The Position

Nationex is looking for a competent and motivated Light Vehicle Mechanic to join their dynamic team. This role contributes to the safety and reliability of the company's fleet. The position operates on an evening shift from 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The role involves general maintenance, repairs on light vehicles (80%) with occasional support on heavy vehicles (20%), and working on both gasoline and electric vehicles. The position does not include major engine work or transmission replacement.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in road vehicle mechanics
Experience mainly in light vehicles
Basic knowledge of heavy vehicles
Valid Class 5 driver's license (mandatory)
Have a complete and functional toolbox

Responsibilities

Complete work in progress
Carry out repairs following safety rounds (RDS)
Perform mechanical inspections (1 to 2 per shift)
Carry out general maintenance of vehicles (Oil changes and lubrication, Tires, brakes, suspension, Spark plugs)
Diagnosing basic mechanical problems
Use electronic diagnostic tools as needed
Carry out the necessary repairs in compliance with safety standards
Intervene mainly on light vehicles (80%) with occasional support on heavy vehicles (20%)
Working on gasoline and electric vehicles
Complete work orders (ideally computerized)
Complete maintenance reports daily
Maintain order, cleanliness and safety of the mechanical shop
Collaborate with the team to ensure fleet availability, especially outside of the day shift
