Automotive Maintenance Technician

About The Position
The Maintenance Technician is an entry-level position and an integral part of a team servicing vehicles at Firestone Complete Auto Care. The role involves learning basic automotive diagnosis and repair, performing scheduled maintenance, and installing and maintaining vehicle components. The position offers on-the-job training and company-funded ASE certifications. Full- and part-time benefits are available from day one, including tool program discounts.
Requirements
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the automotive service industry is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Learn to diagnose and repair basic automotive systems, including brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling, exhaust, and electrical systems.
- Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
- Install tires and perform tire maintenance.
- Install batteries and shock absorbers, and check electrical systems.
- Road-test vehicles.
