About The Position

Vista Toyota is seeking an experienced Main Line Technician to join their growing, high-performing service team in Casper, Wyoming. As a Main Line Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in precision work, values continuous learning, and believes in fixing vehicles right the first time.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems
  • Strong technical knowledge across engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and HVAC
  • Committed to continuous learning through formal training and hands-on development
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality-driven
  • A positive team player who collaborates effectively with advisors, parts, and leadership
  • Customer-focused with a high standard for workmanship and efficiency
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
  • ASE certification with a minimum of 6 active ASEs
  • Valid in-state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
  • Authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair work efficiently and in accordance with dealership and OEM standards
  • Diagnose vehicle concerns accurately using advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Provide clear labor and time estimates for additional repairs
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to Service Advisors and management
  • Test-drive vehicles and verify repairs to ensure quality and safety
  • Maintain accurate and thorough repair documentation (cause, correction, specifications)
  • Promote a “fix it right the first time” mindset on every repair
