About The Position
Toyota Santa Monica is seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Express Service Technician to join our team. We’re open to candidates who are new to the automotive industry, with 6 months of Express/Lube Technician experience preferred. Experience with dealerships, AutoZone, Jiffy Lube, Pep Boys, or independent automotive shops is a plus.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- 18 years or older required
- All potential employees must pass pre-employment testing including a background check and drug screen
Nice To Haves
- 6 months of Express/Lube Technician experience preferred.
- Experience with dealerships, AutoZone, Jiffy Lube, Pep Boys, or independent automotive shops is a plus.
- Manufacturer certification is desired, and a degree or certificate from a trade school is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations and filter replacements.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical malfunction of vehicles and perform repairs.
- Accurately document record of all repairs, services and maintenance performed on vehicles in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
- Collaborate with service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Perform maintenance and repairs with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards.
