The primary function of an Automotive Lube Technician is to safely provide an excellent service experience for our guests. Technicians work with their hands on cars, such as changing oil and filters, adding fluids, checking tire pressure and washing windows. They must also have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, as well as be able to speak effectively with guests and employees. Perform upper and lower level lube technicians functions. The job will focus around fluid checks and basic maintenance. Change a vehicle’s oil, check the transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspect various belts and filters, and check air levels and gauges. Training will be provided, but candidates should at least have a basic understanding of car maintenance. Assist technician mechanics in performing technical activities. Continuously seek out and learn new technical information, equipment, tools and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Maintain an organized, clean and hazard free work environment.
