About The Position

The Automotive Porter Lot Attendant performs a variety of duties related to vehicle maintenance and service. The role interacts with Product Specialists, Service Managers, Sales Managers, support staff, and customers. Its goal is to help ensure customers are fully satisfied when their vehicles are returned. The position includes cleaning and inspecting vehicles, maintaining an orderly lot, moving and delivering vehicles, testing batteries, and helping maintain the building and grounds. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to handle machinery safely.
Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
Demonstrated customer service skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to operate an automobile.
Authorization to work in the United States.
Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, motor vehicle record checks, a drug test, and a credit report.

Responsibilities

Lead yourself and the team in a way that supports the Company Vision and Mission.
Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags before returning completed vehicles to customers.
Inspect vehicles for stains, debris, and damage before returning them to customers, and report damage immediately.
Clean the interior and exterior of new and used vehicles.
Keep the vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed and in accordance with dealership display standards.
Pick up vehicles from and deliver vehicles to storage.
Test batteries of customer vehicles in the service drive.
Maintain the building and grounds as needed.
Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
Perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner.
