Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license and a good driving record

Responsibilities

Process titles and registrations: Handle new and used vehicle titles, verify ownership, and ensure compliance with state titling laws
Verify documentation: Check accuracy of title, registration, and lien documents; resolve discrepancies
Coordinate with DMV: Submit legal transfer documents and liaise with state agencies to ensure compliance
Manage transactions: Process dealer trades, wholesale transactions, and repossessions; prepare Certificates of Origin and stock cards
Financial handling: Calculate and collect fees for transfers and registrations; prepare payoff checks and bills for dealer trades
Record keeping: Maintain detailed records of title and registration transactions, outstanding title work, and vehicle inventory
Customer service: Assist customers with title and registration questions, provide clear explanations, and resolve issues promptly
Regulatory compliance: Stay updated on new title and licensing regulations; attend training sessions and update procedures accordingly
