About The Position

Car Keys Express (CKE) is seeking an Automotive Key Technician to join their team. This role involves driving to dealerships, auto auctions, and other locations to create keys for vehicles. Requirements

• Go getter attitude!
• Sales and customer service experience (commission based sales experience preferred)
• Ability to work remotely without constant supervision
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 21 years of age with a valid Driver’s license
• Familiar with computers, email, and navigating the internet
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Safe place to park company van
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, squat and stand
• Ability to enter and exit elevated van doors 30-40 times daily
• Lift car hoods, disconnect batteries, enter/ exit other vehicles
• Work in all elements of weather is required
• Adaptable; thrive when no two days look the same
• Automotive-minded; comfortable in a dealership environment and around cars
• Hands-on and mechanically capable
• A natural connector; comfortable introducing yourself and talking through services
• Pioneering; take pride in developing and owning your route
• Self-directed; do not need someone looking over your shoulder to stay productive and accountable
• Comfortable with strangers; requires daily cold and warm outreach
• Comfortable with technology; key programming relies heavily on specialized software
• Willingness to work long days and not have a predictable, desk-bound schedule
• Physical endurance in varying conditions is a must
• Comfortable with sales; closing deals is a core function
• Comfortable with driving; extended time behind the wheel is your daily reality
• Comfortable driving a full-size company van
• Comfortable with automotive work such as disconnecting batteries, removing panels, and plugging into vehicles for diagnostics

Responsibilities

• Support, grow, and maintain business relationships with dealerships and fleet operations in your metro area.
• Develop and maintain a weekly sales route in your territory to maximize profits.
