About The Position

Responsible for generating revenue by promoting sales of new and existing company products, providing customer service, evaluating customer needs, and answering questions regarding parts, pricing, and services. This phone-based sales role supports both retail and commercial customers, including existing accounts and new prospects. The position is responsible for generating revenue by promoting sales of new and existing company products, delivering customer service, evaluating customer needs, and answering questions about parts, pricing, warranties, delivery timelines, and services. Provide customers with accurate information on warranties, pricing, part quality, delivery timelines, and payment methods. Complete internal documentation related to transactions, including credits, invoices, work orders, interchange details, and returns. Prospect for new business and develop relationships with potential customers. Communicate unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and other customer-required information. Recommend part substitutions or modifications when requested parts are unavailable. Process orders by entering order details and reviewing handling instructions, pricing, quantities, and shipping information; dispatch orders where applicable. Follow up with customers as needed to support service, sales, and order completion. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of related experience required
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic messages communicated orally.
  • May write brief messages and keep simple records.
  • May explain and offer guidance on routine procedures.
  • Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
  • Decisions generally affect own job or assigned functional area.
  • Results are defined; sets personal own goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.

  • No additional competencies required.

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework or degree.
  • Prior automotive experience and knowledge of automotive parts.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
