About The Position

Tuttle‑Click Hyundai in Irvine is seeking an experienced Heavy Line Technician to handle complex diagnostics and major mechanical repairs in a professional, well‑supported shop environment. This position is ideal for technicians who specialize in engines, transmissions, and drivability concerns and want long‑term stability with a respected California dealer group.
Requirements
- Heavy line automotive technician experience required
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic expertise
- Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Able to pass a background check and drug screening
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Hyundai vehicles preferred but not required
- ASE certifications are preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, and drivetrain systems
- Perform advanced mechanical and drivability diagnostics
- Use manufacturer diagnostic tools to identify complex issues
- Accurately document diagnostic steps and repair work performed
- Collaborate with service advisors to ensure clear repair explanations
- Follow manufacturer specifications and dealership quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Participate in Hyundai technical training as required
