About The Position

Main Street Auto is seeking an Automotive General Service Lube Technician to join their team. This role involves providing essential services to customer vehicles, including fluid and filter changes, tire maintenance, and specialized services like transmission, differential, and radiator services. The technician will also be responsible for inputting customer and maintenance information into the computer system, explaining services to customers, accepting payments, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The position reports to the Manager and Assistant Manager and involves rotating through various Lube Technician duties.

Requirements

Must be able to read and write English.
Must successfully complete the Lube Technician training course.
Must be able to reach four feet in height overhead.
Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
Must be able to respond to communication calls from co-workers.
Mobility is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous automotive experience is helpful.
Overhead and floor mounted oil and grease guns.
Differential pump.
Transmission fluid exchange machine.
Calculator.

Responsibilities

Provide service to customer vehicles, including checking and changing fluids and filters, airing tires.
Provide specialized service including but not limited to transmission, differential and radiator services.
Input customer and maintenance information into computer.
Explain service to customers and accept payment for services.
Maintain clean facilities (work area, grounds, restrooms, customer area, etc.) including sweeping, mopping and emptying trash.
Observe and comply with safety rules and regulations.
Perform related duties as assigned.
