Automotive General Manager
About The Position
Protech Automotive Solutions is seeking a General Manager to oversee the overall operation of an automotive center. The role includes risk management, teammate development, client metrics, production, and administration. The General Manager recognizes and retains teammates, monitors current financial performance, and reviews prior-month financial metrics to identify opportunities and trends. They ensure vehicle repairs are thorough, safe, and profitable, following Protech’s Standard Operating Procedures, insurance-partner requirements, and industry guidelines and standards.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of management experience in the automotive industry or a mobile business.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility for coverage under the company insurance policy.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must pass pre-employment screenings, including background and motor vehicle record checks.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without restrictions.
- Advanced understanding of estimates.
- Prior experience with OEM.
- Advanced understanding and knowledge of repair processes and procedures, and the scanning process.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to provide personable, friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
- Ability to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall operation of the center, including risk management, teammate development, client metrics, production, and administration.
- Reward, recognize, and retain talented teammates.
- Monitor current financial performance metrics and review previous-month metrics to identify opportunities and trends.
- Ensure vehicles are repaired thoroughly, safely, and profitably in accordance with Protech’s SOP, insurance partners, and industry guidelines and standards.
