About The Position

The Automotive Fleet Operations Coordinator supports a growing fleet of prototype and benchmark vehicles used to evaluate future vehicle technologies and customer experiences. This role works closely with engineering, design, testing, and product development teams to ensure vehicles, facilities, and resources are available and operating efficiently. The position combines fleet operations, vehicle logistics, scheduling, compliance administration, and prototype vehicle support in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of a prototype vehicle fleet.
  • Coordinate vehicle inspections, maintenance, repairs, fueling, detailing, and vehicle readiness activities.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and availability to support evaluation activities.
  • Manage vehicle access through connected vehicle and fleet management tools.
  • Coordinate vehicle and test bench scheduling.
  • Facilitate vehicle movement between testing locations and evaluation facilities.
  • Support vehicle deliveries, pickups, and transportation logistics.
  • Administer driver clearance and authorization programs.
  • Verify manufacturer plate certifications and vehicle usage requirements.
  • Coordinate building and garage access.
  • Process overtime, overnight, and weekend vehicle use requests.
  • Maintain key inventories and fuel card inventories.
  • Ensure accurate usage records and documentation.
  • Support compliance with fleet policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Participate in test drives, benchmarking, and vehicle review activities.
  • Assist with data collection and documentation.
  • Support validation activities involving driver-facing technologies, controls, displays, and vehicle user experiences.
  • Monitor collaboration channels and respond to operational requests.
  • Communicate scheduling and vehicle availability updates.
  • Maintain fleet procedures and operational documentation.
