About The Position

Don Johnson’s Cumberland Motors is hiring an Automotive Finance Manager (F&I Manager) to guide guests through finance and lease options with clarity, professionalism, and respect. This role involves reviewing credit applications, securing approvals, structuring deals within lender and dealership guidelines, and presenting protection options like service contracts and GAP coverage using a transparent, needs-based approach. The F&I Manager will also prepare accurate contracts, disclosures, and funding packages, maintain compliance with federal and Wisconsin requirements, and track lender stipulations. This position requires building strong lender relationships and collaborating with sales, accounting, and leadership to deliver balanced results across guest satisfaction, product penetration, PVR, contract accuracy, and funding speed. The dealership operates with a non-commissioned sales model, fostering collaboration and a focus on the guest. Requirements

  • Unquestioned integrity and sound judgment

  • Strong presentation, consultative sales, and closing skills
  • Excellent organization, follow-through, technology, and documentation skills
  • The ability to balance performance, compliance, accuracy, and guest experience
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive knowledge or dealership experience
  • Experience in automotive F&I, automotive sales, sales management, lending, banking, insurance, or consultative sales
  • AFIP or comparable certification, or a willingness to earn it
  • Familiarity with Dealertrack, VinSolutions, Auto/Mate, or similar dealership systems

Responsibilities

  • Guide guests through finance and lease options with clarity, professionalism, and respect.
  • Review credit applications, secure approvals, and structure deals within lender and dealership guidelines.
  • Present service contracts, GAP coverage, maintenance plans, and other protection options using a transparent, needs-based approach.
  • Prepare accurate contracts, disclosures, and funding packages while protecting confidential guest information.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and Wisconsin requirements, lender guidelines, and dealership policies.
  • Track lender stipulations, contracts in transit, and funding, resolving issues quickly.
  • Build strong lender relationships and collaborate with sales, accounting, and leadership.
  • Deliver balanced results across guest satisfaction, product penetration, PVR, contract accuracy, and funding speed.
