About The Position

D&S Automotive is hiring a full-time Disassembly/Reassembly Technician for its collision repair operation. The technician helps Repair Planners identify concealed vehicle damage through thorough disassembly, supports preparation of complete repair estimates, and reassembles vehicles after repairs so they can be delivered. The role also includes light body repairs as needed. The company seeks someone detail-oriented and eager to learn and advance within the company. The schedule is Monday through Friday during the 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. time frame. The technician reports to the Collision Center Manager. Compensation is commensurate with the selected candidate’s experience. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, vehicle disassembly and reassembly tools, an understanding of automobiles, at least one year of automotive shop experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

Pre-scan vehicles.
Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical or hydraulic window operating equipment, body panels, trim, and other necessary parts.
Micro-bag hardware and small parts.
Build and organize parts carts according to company standards.
Photograph complex wire routing, component assembly, and trim or emblem locations.
Reassemble vehicles after repairs are complete.
Perform light body repairs as needed.
Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
