About The Position
Van/Step-Van Mechanic | $43-48 + /hr. DOE. | Full Benefits | San Jose , CA . (Paid Hourly not flat-rate) We maintain a large, standardized fleet of Cargo vans and Step-vans for a Fortune 50 company that runs in good times and bad. You get stable, year-round work on equipment built to work. Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday Afternoon Shift 2p to 1030p
Requirements
- 3-4 years' experience as a diesel or fleet mechanic
- GED or High School Diploma
- Valid driver's license and own tool
- Must pass background check
- Strong accountability and customer service mindset
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair diesel and gas-powered trucks, vans, Sprinters and medium duty vehicles
- Preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
- Perform test drives and make system adjustments as needed
- Maintain accurate service records and manage shop equipment
- Conduct field repairs in various weather conditions
