About The Position

The Part-time Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles for auction so they meet company appearance and quality standards. This role offers hands-on training in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and may suit someone looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry. The ideal candidate takes pride in high-quality work and enjoys physically active, detail-focused tasks. The position is based at America's Auto Auction (South Wisconsin), 1424 Masters Drive, Jefferson, WI 53549. Hours are 24–28 per week. Working Monday and Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. is required; the Wednesday–Friday schedule is flexible. Pay is $16.50–$18.50 per hour, based on experience. Part-time employees may be eligible for select company benefits.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
Able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Able to work outside in various weather conditions.
Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical activity throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

Prior detailing experience is a plus; candidates with a skilled trade background will also be considered.

Responsibilities

Clean and detail vehicle exteriors, interiors, and engine compartments.
Prepare vehicles to meet auction-ready appearance and quality standards.
Use detailing tools, equipment, and cleaning products safely and effectively; training is provided.
Collaborate with team members to ensure vehicles are completed on schedule.
Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
