Automotive Detailer - Car Washer - Escondido Downtown - Full Time
About The Position
Enterprise Mobility is hiring a full-time Automotive Detailer to wash, clean, sanitize, inspect, and prepare cars, trucks, and vans for customer rentals while meeting high cleanliness and safety standards. The position is located at 175 W. Washington Ave., Escondido, CA 92025-2629. The starting rate is $19 per hour based on a 40-hour workweek. The role also includes fueling and staging vehicles, identifying and reporting vehicle safety concerns or damage, keeping the work area and branch clean, operating cleaning equipment, and assisting or transporting customers when needed. Available schedule hours are Sunday 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.; Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Saturday 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship from the company now or in the future.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors according to industry-standard protocols.
- Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks of different sizes.
- Check fuel levels and warning lights; inspect windshields for damage; reset vehicle settings to clear prior customer data; check for customer belongings and place valuables in Lost & Found; and verify that registration is present, current, and matches the license plate.
- Check fluid levels and add fluids as needed; check tire condition, pressure, and tread depth; and inspect vehicle exteriors for damage.
- Fuel and stage vehicles.
- Inspect vehicles for safety concerns, report warning lights or vehicle, windshield, or tire damage, and remove vehicles from the preparation process when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and report unsafe or hazardous conditions.
- Operate tools such as carpet shampoo machines or air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors.
- Assist customers when needed and potentially transport customers to and from branches.
- Help maintain the appearance and cleanliness of branch interiors and exteriors, including desks, countertops, phones, floors, trash, bathrooms, and the lot.
- Improve job performance through self-assessment, skill development, training, and goal setting.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
