About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Detailer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring vehicles are meticulously cleaned and maintained to a high standard. This includes both interior and exterior detailing, applying protective treatments, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, assist team members, and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to report for work at assigned times.
• Proficiency in washing vehicle exteriors.
• Skill in applying wax and buffing surfaces.
• Experience with vacuuming vehicle interiors.
• Knowledge of cleaning upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces.
• Ability to apply revitalizers and preservation agents to interior components.
• Experience cleaning engine and engine compartments.
• Capability to apply special-purpose cleaners.
• Skill in painting engine components.
• Ability to apply touch-up paint to vehicle body surfaces.
• Experience applying dyes and reconditioning chemicals to vinyl tops.
• Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Willingness to immediately report accidents.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Ability to assist other team members.
• Maintenance of a high standard of personal grooming, hygiene, and dress.

Nice To Haves

• Experience and judgment in applying special-purpose cleaners.
• Familiarity with product manufacturer recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Report for work at assigned time(s) and leave at assigned time(s).
• Wash vehicle exterior, using cleaning solution, water, cloths, and brushes.
• Apply wax to auto body, and wipe or buff surface to protect surface and preserve shine, using cloth or buffing machine.
• Vacuum interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris, using vacuum cleaner.
• Clean upholstery, rugs, and other surfaces, using cleaning agents, applicators, and cleaning devices.
• Apply revitalizers and preservation agents to vinyl or leather surfaces and treat fabrics with spot- and stain- resistant chemicals to preserve and protect interior components.
• Clean engine and engine compartment with steam-cleaning equipment and various cleaning agents to remove grease and grime.
• Apply special-purpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove, utilizing experience and judgment and following recommendations of the product's manufacturer.
• Paint engine components and related parts, using spray gun or aerosol can and masking materials.
• Apply paint to chipped body surfaces of vehicles, using touch-up paint.
• Apply dyes and reconditioning chemicals to vinyl tops of vehicles to restore color and condition.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.
• Keep a clean and organized working area and shop.
• Assist other team members as needed and/or directed by management.
• Maintain a high standard of personal grooming, hygiene and dress.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
