About The Position
Xcite Automotive is seeking an Automotive Detail Shop Assistant Manager for their dealership partners in Virginia Beach, VA. This full-time role supports daily detailing production, leads technicians, and ensures all vehicles meet dealership-ready quality standards. The Assistant Manager helps drive workflow efficiency, maintain operational compliance, and uphold performance expectations within a fast-paced reconditioning environment. Requirements
- 2+ years of professional automotive detailing experience (dealership, body shop, collision center, or reconditioning facility)
- Prior experience as a Lead Detailer, Shop Supervisor, or Assistant Manager
- Strong knowledge of paint correction, buffing, polishing, and interior reconditioning techniques
- Experience working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Ability to perform physical job duties including standing, bending, lifting, and working indoors and outdoors
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a high-volume dealership reconditioning or service department
- Prior responsibility for managing production workflow or turnaround metrics
- Experience training or mentoring detail technicians
- Background as a Recon Supervisor or Collision Center production lead
Responsibilities
- Support daily detailing production in a high-volume dealership environment
- Lead, train, and hold detail technicians accountable to quality standards
- Perform hands-on interior and exterior detailing, including paint correction and polishing as needed
- Conduct final quality control inspections prior to vehicle delivery
- Monitor workflow efficiency, turnaround times, and shop productivity
- Enforce safety and operational compliance standards
