About The Position

The Parts Driver picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors. The role also supports parts, body shop, and service department operations, maintains delivery records and the delivery truck, and follows company safety procedures. Requirements

High school diploma.
Authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

Coordinate last-minute pickups and deliveries with the parts manager, wholesale representative, inventory control administrator, parts counter staff, or shipping and receiving clerk before leaving.
Check with the body shop daily to identify immediate parts needs.
Deliver parts to the body shop and distribute them to the appropriate body technicians.
Verify that the invoice matches the purchase order for each pickup.
Check payments received against invoices for each delivery.
Maintain an accurate log of daily deliveries and pickups and obtain the recipient’s signature for each delivery entry.
Unload the truck each night and turn in all paperwork and undelivered parts.
Perform basic truck maintenance, including filling the gas tank, checking oil, keeping the truck clean, and ensuring required inspections are performed.
Inform the parts manager when delivery trucks need major repairs or maintenance.
Help maintain the professional appearance of the parts department.
Assist the service department as needed with customer vehicle drop-off and pickup attendant responsibilities.
Help stock and post incoming orders to expedite delivery to shop technicians and wholesale accounts.
Maintain a professional appearance.
Follow company safety policies and procedures and immediately report accidents to a manager or supervisor.
