About The Position

Bud Clary Auto Group is hiring full-time flat-rate technicians for its growing Dodge Chrysler Jeep service department at Auburn CDJR & Hyundai. The position pays $25.00–$65.00 per flat-rate hour, based on experience. Technicians diagnose, repair, and recommend needed work on customer vehicles while delivering a high-quality service experience. The department offers a supportive work environment with service advisors familiar with the brands, a hands-on shop manager, and an established customer base. Driving is an essential function of the position, and employees must maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record under company insurance standards.

Requirements

• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Maintain an acceptable driving record consistent with company insurance standards throughout employment.
• Be able to diagnose and repair vehicles and recommend needed work.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a top-performing technician.
• Diesel training on another manufacturer’s vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform all work designated on repair orders.
• Inform the service advisor when additional work is needed.
• Assist in training and supervising apprentices or T-10 students, when applicable.
• Attend training sessions and meetings.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
• Follow company, WISHA, OSHA, environmental, and other applicable rules, regulations, and automotive laws.
• Diagnose customer vehicles and perform repairs as needed.
• Properly describe the cause and cure on every completed repair order.
• Take responsibility for the quality of workmanship.
• Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs as needed.
• Inform dispatch or the service advisor of delays that may prevent meeting the promised time.
• Escalate repairs that could not be duplicated to the shop lead, dispatch, diagnostic specialist, or service manager.
• Return spent parts in the bin to the parts department when work is complete.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record consistent with company insurance standards.
