We are seeking a skilled Automotive Body Shop Technician to join our team in Vineland, New Jersey. Position Overview As an Automotive Body Shop Technician, you will restore vehicles to their pre-accident condition by following written repair orders. Your role is vital to maintaining our Collision Center’s standards for quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of manufacturer repair processes and collision repair standards
  • Experience using frame and measuring equipment following vendor guidelines
  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record
  • ASE certification in body repairs required
  • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
  • Completion of Pro Level training and other industry-required courses
  • Welding certification preferred
  • Reliable and consistent attendance
  • Ability to lift and carry objects over 50 pounds periodically
  • Ability to reach above and below shoulder level
  • Capable of pushing parts/materials carts and vehicles with assistance
  • Ability to kneel, bend, squat, and stoop for extended periods
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools and equipment
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when needed
  • Acceptance of exposure to fumes, chemicals, dust, and noise in the work environment
  • Ability to wear required protective equipment, including respirators
  • Must pass pre-employment background and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Repair Planning: Plan repairs efficiently to minimize waste and rework. Disassemble and detrim vehicles, organize parts, and assess whether to repair or replace components during pre-pull inspections.
  • Parts Procurement: Assist with identifying and sourcing necessary parts. Use judgment to safely repair damaged parts to reduce costs and improve turnaround. Maintain organized parts and materials carts.
  • Team Support and Problem-Solving: Monitor vehicle progress and collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion. Help resolve repair challenges effectively.
  • Vehicle Repair: Perform repairs that meet productivity and quality standards, following procedures to reduce repair returns.
  • Safety and Organization: Consistently use safety equipment and comply with repair and hazardous waste disposal protocols. Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
