Requirements

Previous experience as a painter in a dealership or collision/body shop setting.
Experience with waterborne paint systems.
Ability to read and understand instructions and technical information.
Basic mechanical skills.
Strong attention to detail and color matching ability.
Self-motivated and dependable with a strong work ethic.
Authorized to work in the United States.
Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Refinish damaged vehicle body parts according to factory and dealership quality standards within specified timeframes.
Operate body shop equipment safely and effectively.
Remove rust, grease, and dirt from metal surfaces before refinishing.
Prepare surfaces for paint using manual and power sanding tools.
Mix paint to match manufacturer color specifications precisely.
Apply paint using sprayers or brushes as required.
Maintain cleanliness of tools and equipment and ensure adherence to safety standards.
Wear appropriate safety and protective gear during all tasks.
Comply with all laws and regulations related to paint materials and hazardous substances.
Collaborate with team members to assist in vehicle repair and preparation as needed.
