Modern Collision Center of Winston-Salem is looking for an experienced Automotive Body Shop Estimator / Advisor to join their team. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in an automotive service dealership preferred
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect damaged vehicles and determine the extent of structural, body, mechanical, and interior damage.
  • Prepare accurate estimates for labor, parts, refinishing, and other necessary repairs.
  • Appraise vehicle damage to determine repair costs for insurance claim settlements.
  • Determine whether damaged parts should be repaired or replaced.
  • Evaluate repair feasibility versus total-loss considerations and vehicle market value.
  • Determine salvage value when a vehicle is considered a total loss.
  • Prepare insurance forms, repair estimates, and recommendations.
  • Review repair estimates with the Body Shop Manager or Foreman.
  • Work collaboratively to resolve differences in repair-cost assessments, including coordinating additional appraisals when necessary.
  • Estimate costs associated with repainting, special-purpose conversions, or customization of undamaged vehicles.
  • Provide professional, responsive customer service throughout the repair process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
