About The Position

The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, hourly position whose schedule is based on business needs. As a key holder, the Assistant Manager serves as manager on duty when the Store Manager is absent or business demand requires it. The role assists in managing the operations of an automotive retail service and repair store to meet or exceed service standards and achieve Monro’s performance and profitability goals. The Assistant Manager helps ensure teammates provide exceptional 5 Star service through effective communication about vehicle issues and proposed solutions, and by meeting guests’ expectations for time commitments and quality.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of retail experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to work flexible hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to influence and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Ability to problem-solve and manage inventory, merchandising, and customer service.
Communication skills to effectively communicate with teammates and guests.
Complete all Monro-required training within the provided guidelines and timing.
Current valid driver’s license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).

Nice To Haves

ASE certification and a State Inspection License, where applicable.

Responsibilities

Schedule guest appointments to make effective use of technician capabilities and complete vehicle services and repairs efficiently and on time.
Help achieve sales goals by informing guests about and recommending tires, service products, and promotions; address guest sales, service, complaints, and adjustments; and build relationships that support satisfaction, loyalty, and retention.
Assist technicians in communicating repair and service needs to guests.
Maintain the store in excellent, clean, and guest-ready condition in accordance with Monro standards.
Assist with inventory management, including oversight of pulling tires and parts, unloading deliveries, and stocking inventory.
Provide direction and oversight to other technicians and assist with services and repairs as needed.
Help organize store workflow so technician skill levels are used efficiently and services and repairs are completed effectively and on time in accordance with Monro standards.
Follow company policies and procedures and applicable governmental, environmental, and ANSI/OSHA standards; consistently use required safety practices.
Perform Store Manager functions as business needs dictate.
Perform other duties as assigned and required by the direct supervisor.
