About The Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join their team at state-of-the-art automotive service and retail tire sales centers in the Shirley, NY area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States with over 2,000 retail locations. As a future leader, the Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager to ensure efficient, safe, and effective store operations. Responsibilities include enforcing policies and procedures, scheduling mechanics/technicians, managing outside orders, ensuring job quality and timeliness, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining team member safety. The Service Manager assists customers with tire selections and recommends under-car repair services. They ensure customer satisfaction through timely, high-quality repairs and maintenance by directing the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians, and Tire Technicians. Service Managers also drive sales initiatives, communicate with customers about their needs and necessary repairs/maintenance, ensure customer satisfaction with their in-store experience, and strive to meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales, OR
  • 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance, OR
  • Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
