About The Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Assistant and Service Managers to join their team in the Douglasville, GA area. Mavis is one of the largest tire sales and automotive repair chains in the United States with over 2,000 retail locations. The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in ensuring efficient, safe, and effective store operations. This includes enforcing policies, scheduling mechanics, managing outside orders, ensuring job quality and timeliness, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining team member safety. The Service Manager assists customers with tire selections, recommends under-car repair services, and ensures timely completion of high-quality vehicle repairs and maintenance. They direct the workflow of mechanics and technicians, stage repair work, communicate with customers about needs and services, and strive to meet customer expectations.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive parts and/or tire sales
• 1 year of experience and/or training in automotive repairs/maintenance
• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position

Responsibilities

• Assisting customers with tire selections
• Recommending necessary under-car repair services
• Directing the workflow of Mechanics, Alignment Technicians and Tire Technicians
• Staging vehicle repair/maintenance work
• Communicating directly with customers
• Assessing customer needs
• Providing information regarding requested and/or necessary automotive repairs and maintenance
• Ensuring customers are satisfied with their in-store experience
