About The Position

Voyago is hiring a 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic (1st- 4th year) for our Kitchener Garage. The role involves evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance, complying with Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines. The mechanic will utilize inventory parts or order necessary parts through Fleet Management software to make repairs in a timely manner, servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. Maintaining a clean work environment and completing required reports are also key responsibilities.

Requirements

Registered with the STO as 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic - must be in 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
ODP certification with A/C experience.
Experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Sound organizational competencies.
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
Excellent proven customer service experience.
A valid G class driving license.
A safe driver with a clean driving record.
Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.

Responsibilities

Evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance as required.
Ensuring compliance with all Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines.
Utilizing parts from inventory or ordering parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs.
Completing repairs in a timely manner.
Servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
Keeping work environment clean and tidy.
Completing required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and log books, and PM service logs by division).
