About The Position
Voyago is hiring a 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic (2nd - 4th year) for our Brant Garage. The role involves evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance, adhering to Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and Voyago's guidelines. Responsibilities include using parts from inventory or ordering necessary parts through Fleet Management software, completing repairs in a timely manner, servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies, maintaining a clean work environment, and completing required reports such as driver-initiated repair logs, log books, and PM service logs.
Requirements
- Registered with the STO as 310T/S Automotive Apprentice Mechanic - must be in 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
- ODP certification with A/C experience.
- Experience and working knowledge of light duty diesel repair, as well as gasoline.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and sound organizational competencies.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
- Excellent proven customer service experience.
- A valid G class driving license.
- A safe driver with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain a clean criminal record search and/or vulnerable sector screening.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating and ensuring vehicle safety through preventative maintenance.
- Ordering parts necessary through the Fleet Management software to make repairs.
- Completing repairs in a timely manner.
- Servicing vehicles in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Keeping work environment clean and tidy.
- Completing required reports as directed (i.e. sign-off on driver-initiated repair logs and log books, and PM service logs by division).
