About The Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring full-time Automotive Alignment Technicians for its automotive service, repair, and tire sales centers in the Piedmont, SC area. Technicians use alignment equipment to align newly mounted tires and wheels by measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles. This helps reduce tire wear and ensures vehicles travel straight and true. Technicians also complete state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs, and other required automotive service and vehicle repairs.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must have 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires, or a combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the job duties.
Must be able to perform the physical activities described, including regularly lifting and/or moving items weighing over 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

A state inspection license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Align newly mounted tires and wheels using alignment equipment.
Measure and adjust caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles.
Complete state-mandated vehicle inspections.
Perform oil and filter changes and flat repairs.
Perform other required automotive services and vehicle repairs.
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repetitive movements associated with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair.
Regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
