About The Position

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is hiring a full-time Automotive Alignment Technician for a service, repair, and tire sales center in the Westfield, New Jersey area. Technicians use current equipment to align newly mounted tires and wheels by measuring and adjusting caster, camber, toe, and thrust angles. This work helps reduce tire wear and ensures vehicles travel straight and true. Technicians also perform state-mandated inspections, oil and filter changes, flat repairs, and other required automotive services and vehicle repairs. This is an active position involving standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, climbing, pulling, reaching, and repeated movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair. Technicians regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Must have 1 year of experience and/or training in dismounting, mounting, rotating, and balancing tires, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience demonstrating the ability to perform the job duties.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, climb, pull, reach, and perform repeated movements consistent with vehicle and tire maintenance and repair.
Must regularly lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

A state inspection license is preferred.
