Overview We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our admin office. In this vital role, you will manage various accounting functions, ensure accurate financial record-keeping, and support our dealership’s financial operations with precision and professionalism. Your expertise in accounting software and financial concepts will help keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Requirements

Automotive dealership experience is a must
Ability to perform detailed data entry, account reconciliation, and journal entries with high accuracy
Excellent math skills combined with strong analytical abilities for account analysis and budgeting
Experience with accounts payable/receivable processes and tax-related accounting tasks
Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and support financial services functions

Responsibilities

Perform accounts payable and receivable processing, ensuring timely payments and collections
Assist with reconciling funded deals and receivables.
Assist with deal status updates.
Registration and titling of motor vehicles
Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations
Enter data accurately into accounting software such as Google Docs, Excel, Tekion, etc.
Assist with month-end closing procedures, journal entries, and account analysis
Support internal audits and prepare documentation for governmental or external audits as needed
Process premium payments and product cancellations
Reconcile dealer reserve statements
Scan documents into our DMS for confidential record keeping
