About The Position

Auto Warehousing (AWC) is hiring a full-time Accessory Installer II at their Baltimore Fairfield location (Curtis Bay area). The shift is 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday-Friday. The position involves preparing vehicles for panel and load floor installation, performing final quality reviews, and coordinating production activities. Responsibilities include mechanical work, cleaning surfaces, installations, and quality control. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to drive standard and automatic vehicles. Requirements

  • Able to drive both standard and automatic automobiles
  • Ability to pass driver's safety test at 80% or better
  • Ability to adhere to strict quality standards without variance

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months experience or vocation education in manufacturing and/or assembly

Responsibilities

  • Prepare vehicle and panels for installation
  • Verify the VIN of vehicle is the VIN on the work order
  • Utilize urethane cutting tool to trim existing urethane seal to acceptable level
  • Prepare and prime the area of the vehicle where the panel will be installed
  • Obtain rear panel and verify correct part number
  • Secure suction cup on exterior side of panel and place panel in the robot station
  • Initiate robot cycle to apply urethane bead and inspect bead for quality imperfections
  • Remove panel from robot station line up guide pins and set into place ensuring proper location
  • Prepare vehicle for the load floor installation
  • Remove and relocate wire harness and weather stripping, and apply ISD cover to wire harness
  • Place load floor in proper location utilizing the bar clamp to ensure proper location
  • Drill 17 holes for load floor to be properly secured
  • Clean and prepare holes for riveting
  • Place load floor panel in the robot work station for urethane application
  • Remove load floor from robot work station and properly locate in the vehicle
  • Revit load floor, securing it in place
  • Re-attach wire harness and weather stripping
  • Verify interior is free of debris
  • Remove ISD covers
  • Coordinate final review with Lead
  • Keep tools maintained and secure
  • Train and develop new associates and team members
  • Execute all other duties assigned by management
