Position Overview The Accessory Technician performs specialized automotive installation work focused on vehicle accessories and aftermarket upgrades. This role is dedicated to lifts, tires, wheels, suspension systems, and approved accessories, ensuring all installations meet OEM specifications, manufacturer requirements, and dealership quality standards.

Requirements

  • Automotive technician experience required
  • Experience with suspension, lifts, tires, wheels, or aftermarket accessories strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and installation documentation
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver heavy components
  • ASE certifications preferred but not required
  • Quality-focused workmanship
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
  • Effective time management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional attitude and pride in craftsmanship
  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • ASE certifications preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Install lifts, leveling kits, suspension components, tires, wheels, and related accessories
  • Install additional approved accessories such as steps, racks, lighting, and performance upgrades
  • Perform alignments, calibrations, and post-installation inspections as required
  • Follow OEM and accessory manufacturer specifications, torque requirements, and safety procedures
  • Diagnose, correct, and document fitment or installation issues
  • Accurately record labor time, parts used, and work performed
  • Maintain shop tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Coordinate with Service Advisors, Sales, and Parts to meet vehicle delivery timelines
  • Ensure vehicles are road-ready and meet dealership quality expectations before release
