At General Motors, our product teams are redefining mobility. Through a human-centered design process, we create vehicles and experiences that are designed not just to be seen, but to be felt. We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features. Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale. The Role As an Automation Test Technician, you will help keep vehicle test operations safe, reliable, and ready to execute, ensuring the quality and reliability of software features across the full vehicle. You will provide hands-on support for vehicle instrumentation, electrical hardware, wiring, and test setups. Working with test engineers, scripters and cross-functional partners, you will install and remove test equipment, perform vehicle module swaps, troubleshoot hardware, create custom equipment and wiring, and maintain tools and kits. This role combines hands-on vehicle and hardware work, test readiness, and practical troubleshooting to contribute to the successful delivery of high-impact software across GM's vehicle programs.
