About The Position

CVS Health, a Fortune 4 company, has an opportunity to welcome a new member to the Pharmacy Maintenance Team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. As an Automation Maintenance Technician for our 3rd shift, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the pharmacy’s automated systems. This is a great role for someone who enjoys an organized and clean work environment, focusing on routine inspections of our specialized machines. The person in this role will also be responsible for identifying and resolving technical issues to meet production goals as well as quality expectations. Your efforts will impact the lives of thousands of patients who rely on the critical medications that are dispensed by this facility. Starting Pay for this role is $33.77/hr. with opportunities to advance in as soon as 6 months (based on your skill-level)! Your career possibilities are endless at CVS Health! This is a full-time position with guaranteed 40 hours per week, and premium pay for consistent weekends or company holidays worked. Candidates hired for the Automation Mechanic role are provided tools by CVS Health upon training. No requirement to provide your own.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of risk assessment skills including ability to understand a process and determine how a change can affect that process
  • 1+ years of project management skills with ability to multi-task & prioritize
  • 1+ years of performing Preventive Maintenance (PM) to automated manufacturing equipment and utilizing LOTO procedures
  • 1+ years of troubleshooting, repairing & maintaining automated equipment controlled by Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Verifiable High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in medical, fulfillment center, warehouse or healthcare environments
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (ISO 9000, ISO 13485, FDA, Pharmaceutical or Medical Device)
  • A craft certification or other related certification/training

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance for automation robotics, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic systems in a sophisticated automated large volume pharmaceutical dispensing facility.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machines and systems to ensure optimal performance, such as troubleshooting electro-mechanical control systems and supporting the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) based control systems.
  • Performing preventative maintenance on equipment, notifying the Manager of any concerns regarding major repairs needed or any additional equipment needed to support the pharmacy automation equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe work area for all employees.
  • Participate in training programs to stat updated on new technologies and procedures.
