About The Position

We are seeking an Automation Technician with experience supporting molding or assembly automation equipment in a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize robotic and automated production systems to ensure maximum equipment uptime, efficiency, and product quality in a medical device manufacturing facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2–5 years of experience in injection molding, assembly automation, or a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial robots and automated equipment.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, industrial sensors, and automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, electrical, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or Associate degree in Automation, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair molding or assembly automation equipment.
  • Maintain industrial robots, conveyors, sensors, vision systems, and auxiliary automation equipment.
  • Program and optimize robots such as FANUC, Sepro, Yushin, or Wittmann.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automation systems.
  • Support production startups, mold trials, and new product introductions.
  • Improve equipment performance, cycle time, and overall productivity.
  • Read and interpret electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics.
  • Maintain maintenance records and automation documentation.
  • Follow all safety, quality, FDA, GMP, and ISO requirements.
