Requirements

  • Mechanically Inclined: You enjoy understanding how machines work, solving technical problems, and working with both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Eager to Learn: You're excited to build a career in industrial automation, and you're motivated to learn PLC programming, industrial controls, and new technologies through hands-on training.
  • Technically Curious: You have a strong interest in automation, electrical systems, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, or related fields.
  • Adaptable: You enjoy a mix of office and field work, can adjust to changing project needs, and are willing to travel to customer sites as projects require.
  • Team-Oriented: You value service, integrity, creativity, and working alongside teammates and customers to deliver practical, high-quality automation solutions.
  • Active: Comfortable standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting to 75 lbs. in an active, hands-on role.
  • Experience with automation, electrical systems, mechatronics, and industrial maintenance
  • Experience with PLCs, HMIs, or reading electrical drawings is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Learn PLC programming, industrial automation, and control system design through hands-on training and mentorship from experienced automation professionals.
  • Program PLC-based control systems using ladder logic and structured text while developing your skills with platforms such as Siemens, Omron, and Rockwell.
  • Configure HMI systems and assist with automation projects that help manufacturers improve productivity, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Build and wire electrical control panels while gaining practical experience with industrial control systems.
  • Install automation equipment, participate in system startups, and commission control systems at customer facilities.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, electrical controls, and automation systems to identify issues and keep customer operations running efficiently.
  • Collaborate with customers and experienced team members both in the office and on-site to deliver reliable, high-quality automation solutions.
  • Travel to customer locations throughout the region for installations, service calls, and planned overnight projects when needed.
