About The Position

This position is for an Automation Technician, Jr. on the Paint Line, working the night shift at Skyjack Plant 1. The role involves monitoring various equipment, product consumption, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and assisting with training.

Requirements

• Minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Pretreatment equipment experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Able to multi-task and set priorities
• Hands-on intricate work capabilities
• Willingness to implement new process improvements
• Computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment (including documentation, recording spec. qualifications) for Wash system, Fluid delivery equipment, Wash-bay and Steamer room, Kitchen, Rework, Product Quality – Paint finish, Waste Water Treatment – Titrate chemistry, Post Department Customer Satisfaction, and Scheduled Activity Equipment Maintenance.
• Monitor product consumption (chemicals, paints, consumables, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Perform emergency minor maintenance (i.e. Gun replacements, etc.).
• Participate in Engineering trials.
• Perform equipment troubleshooting.
• Assist in training of new painters (in booth – practical).
• Be flexible for all shifts and work overtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
