About The Position

The Automation Technician II sets up, adjusts, and operates electrical and mechanical automation devices and systems for the Water Transfer business unit. The role installs and repairs automation equipment, including level, pressure, flow, and communication devices, and supports field personnel with training on processes and technologies. It also involves compiling reports and driving trucks to transport equipment and perform job tasks. This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Operations Manager and requires travel. Work is regularly performed outdoors in varied and sometimes severe weather, near moving mechanical parts, and in conditions involving noise, vibration, and dust. The position is safety-sensitive and requires strict adherence to safety protocols, with possible regular safety training and assessments.

Requirements

2 to 4 years of related working experience.
Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive a company vehicle under Select's insurance guidelines.
Technical expertise.
Attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Ability to multitask and prioritize.
Ability to lift or move heavy objects.
Manual dexterity.
Ability to individually lift a maximum of 50 pounds.
