This position is responsible for programming and troubleshooting automated control systems, including integration electronics, robotics, fiber optic sensors, pneumatic/hydraulic controls, touch panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The role involves utilizing online and electrical schematic designs, electrical equipment controls, instrumentation, and configurations. The supervisor will provide on-call remote and onsite technical support, train associates on automation equipment operation and repair, and manage the daily operations of automation systems. This includes performing routine maintenance, upgrading/replacing components, monitoring operations, identifying and correcting malfunctions, and completing work orders. The role also supports plant operation quality and continuous improvement programs, executes process improvement projects, and demonstrates adaptability and continuous learning.
