About The Position

To support all aspects of production in repairing equipment specializing in PLC troubleshooting, networking, IT systems, and robotics. This role involves troubleshooting, programming, and backing up all PLCs and interfaces, as well as creating and troubleshooting the PLC network, including designing layouts to support new equipment lines. The specialist will ensure PLC laptops have updated software for communication with all equipment, train maintenance personnel on PLC troubleshooting and reading ladder logic, and support palletizing operations by learning Yaskawa Robotics. Responsibilities also include the installation, modification, and maintenance of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations, maintenance of plant building, equipment, and machinery, and maintaining clean equipment and shop areas. The role requires a flexible work schedule covering all shifts and some weekends.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years’ experience in Automation Technology, preferably in a food production environment
  • Proficient with Excel and Word and able to administer and use PM program software
  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Knowledge of Database software; Design software; Manufacturing software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
