About The Position
Ultium Cells is seeking an exceptional candidate for an Automation Specialist position supporting battery factory automation. This position will provide support for Smart Factory Systems and will be responsible for overseeing and implementing Smart Factory systems. This role also will be able to communicate with cross-functional teams and individuals within the company.
Requirements
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective collaboration within the team and across cross-functional departments.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and general PC usage.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive attitude toward identifying and resolving technical issues in a manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in maintenance of inkjet/laser markers and vision cameras is a significant plus but not required.
- Associate's degree from a technical institution preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology a plus.
- Experience working in a multicultural or multinational environment is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment related to electrode production and traceability (Main equipment: Inkjet markers, vision cameras, electrical components, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment related to assembly production and traceability (Main equipment: Laser markers, vision cameras, electrical components, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and maintain equipment related to auto-control systems (Mainly PC-based systems).
- Manage and optimize inventory for spare parts of assigned equipment.
- Technical Documentation & Office Tasks: Maintain issue logs for equipment maintenance, create standard operating procedure (SOP) manuals, and perform other office work.
- General Support: Perform other tasks and projects as assigned by management.
