Automation Software Engineer - Power BI and Automation
About The Position
Wells Fargo is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise reporting, automation, and collaboration solutions using Microsoft Power BI and SharePoint. The role partners with business teams to deliver scalable dashboards, workflow automation, and data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency, reporting accuracy, and decision-making across the organization. The position is hybrid, with three days per week in the office and two days working from home. Visa transfers and sponsorships are not available for this role. The job also includes participation in Agile ceremonies, testing and deployment, production support, and ongoing development of technical knowledge through training and hands-on experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience developing business applications, reporting solutions, or enterprise collaboration platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboards, reports, data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.
- Experience developing and administering Microsoft SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and permissions.
- Proficiency with Power Platform components, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
- Experience using REST APIs and integrating Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to business stakeholders.
Nice To Haves
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
- Knowledge of SharePoint Framework (SPFx) development.
- Experience with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure SQL, or Azure Data Factory.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic data models.
- Develop and support SharePoint Online sites, workflows, forms, and collaboration solutions.
- Automate business processes using Power Automate and integrate solutions across Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop data integrations and reporting solutions to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
- Ensure solutions meet security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements.
- Participate in testing and deployment activities.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and deliver assigned work items.
- Collaborate with team members on automation, compliance reporting, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Develop technical knowledge through training and hands-on experience.
- Follow applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures and fulfill risk and compliance obligations, including escalation and remediation of issues.
