About The Position

Eli Lilly and Company seeks an Automation Software Engineer (R2-R3) to build and develop automation applications and reusable software components using modern programming languages. Design, implement, and manage RESTful and gRPC APIs along with integration connectors for enterprise systems. Architect end-to-end automation solutions to define system boundaries, integration strategies, and deployment models. Maintain and enhance automation applications and solutions through structured debugging, root cause analysis, system telemetry, and performance optimization to ensure operational efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related STEM field
  • 2 years of academic or employment experience in full-stack or backend software engineering
  • 2 years of experience using programming languages including Python, JavaScript, Go, C++, and Rust
  • 2 years of experience developing and managing RESTful and gRPC APIs using frameworks including FastAPT and Express
  • 2 years of experience with relational databases and NoSQL databases
  • 2 years of experience with cloud platforms and development strategies across serverless, containerized, and server-based environments
  • 2 years of experience with automated testing framework, debugging tools, and performance monitoring solutions
