About The Position

Northern Manufacturing, a worldwide leader in stainless steel fabrication, is seeking a motivated individual to join our Automation Team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating robotic welders, 5-axis lasers, and other automation equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret blueprints, monitor equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform visual inspections to ensure quality parts. This position requires the ability to load and unload materials and adhere to all safety protocols.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Experience utilizing computer-based software
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings, or ability to be trained in this area
• Basic math skills to calculate material fabrication
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Basic weld knowledge preferred
• Previous experience with Fanuc robots preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Responsible for setting up and programming and operating the robotic welders, 5-axis laser, and/or other automation equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and shop routes for necessary instructions
• Adjust fixtures when needed and add controls to ensure parts are fabricated according to instruction.
• Monitor the robots performance and troubleshoot when necessary.
• Perform visual inspections of pieces being processed to ensure quality parts are produced.
• Load and unload materials.
• Follow all safety protocol related to the position and use of each machine.
